The Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association announced the results of the MAX! Awards (Marketing Achievement Excellence). The industry-wide regional search sought the best in media, marketing and advertising tools promoting new home sales in 2009. Categories included advertising, logo design, multi-media, merchandising, individual sales and more.

Award-winning entries were selected by a panel of professionals who specialize in a wide array of disciplines related to new home construction and sales. The judges traveled from across North Carolina outside the judging area to ensure objective review of the entries.

Crown Pointe won the following categories:

• Best Sales Model/Sales Center Merchandising of a Detached Home over 2200sf
• Best Community Entrance in the New Home Community Best Community Features
• Community Involvement Achievement Award

Crown Pointe wins again!! The decorated model won top honors with GOLD!

Crossroads Construction, builders of the decorated model in Crown Pointe, recently received recognition for the construction quality, interior and exterior design and included features, when the 2009 Parade of Homes announced the awards last week at Landfall Country Club. The prestigious Gold award was accepted by Mark Williamson and Harry Kraly, and is proudly displayed in the model home. The annual Parade of Homes is presented by the Wilmington Cape Fear Home Builders Association, and this year’s competition included over sixty homes, located from Southport to Hampstead.

On February19, 2009 Crown Pointe was awarded the Wilmington Cape Fear Home Builder Association’s MAX award for the best Realtor Event in 2008. This is a fabulous honor for many reasons first and foremost, there are simply hundreds of Realtor Events in the course of the year so to be recognized for the marketing to the Realtor Community is amazing.

The event in question was held in October of 2008 and was hosted by the Developers Harry Kraly, Lynn Kraly, Mike Caison, and Mark Williamson in the driveway of the beautifully decorated model at Crown Pointe.  Realtors were treated to a real home cooked, eastern style pig picking where they could sit and enjoy the beautiful community on a Sunny Carolina day.  The menu included Bar-B-Que, baked beans, slaw, hushpuppies with or without jalapenos, and a pig picking cake.

A recent Star News article attested to the fact that Pender County schools have become quite popular.  While neigboring counties showed an increase in enrollment in the double digits, Pender County showed a 301 population growth at the 20 day count.

Why are the schools gaining in popularity?  It may be due to the fact that 60% of it’s schools “met the Adequate Yearly Progress requirements of the federal No Child Left Behind Act for the 2005-2006 school year”.  Nine schools within the district met or exceeded the AYP requirements and three of the schools missed the AYP requirements by one goal.
